EDUC 6168 tutorial one.
This semester is about working in professional learning communities (PLCs), growing accustomed to functioning as a group. It is strongly suggested that we use the jigsaw model of research to cover the entire course in the allotted time, wherein topics are divided by agreement, then each group member, having understood their topic, returns to the group and teaches the other members.
We will likely adopt the jigsaw model as it has met with no serious objection within the group. As such we have begun by dividing the initial prep tasks among ourselves. Overnight we are each to extract the questions raised by the course materials into a single document as we plan to use answering these questions as a guide to the self-directed learning portion of the course.
I am undertaking the Sociology of Education module and will include the extracted questions in my following post.
